Wednesday’s free winner: Milwaukee Brewers.

Game 908.

4:40 PM PST/7:40 PM EST.

Possessing the best overall record in baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers are firing on all cylinders. They are equally good on the road as they are at home, own the fifth-ranked scoring offense, and the second-ranked pitching staff. Yesterday’s victory over their division opponent was a big one for the home team. Prior to that, they dropped six of the seven meetings with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2026. Speaking of which, Pittsburgh sits in third place in the National League Central, 14.0-games back. This is a team that’s barely treading water at home, and is two games under .500 on the road. They are struggling, once again. The Pirates have dropped six of their last eight overall outings, with a combination of a lackluster effort offensively, and a pitching staff that has gotten absolutely steamrolled. As far as today’s starters go, Paul Skenes and Kyle Harrison are scheduled. The Pittsburgh right-hander is just 9-9 on the campaign. But does own a respectable ERA of 3.90. His last two appearances have been absolute nightmares as he is allowed 10 earned runs in just 9.1 innings pitched, as the team has dropped both of those games. As a matter of fact, the team is only 3-12 and his last 15 outings. Over his career he has done well against the Milwaukee Brewers. But right now, it just doesn’t seem he is in sync, and let’s not forget his offense is not giving him the run support he needs. The Milwaukee left-hander has earned a very respectable 8-2 record this season with an even more respectable ERA of 3.01. At home in 2026, he’s been nearly unbeatable earning a 5-1 mark with an anemic ERA of 1.53. He shut down today’s opponent back at the end of April, going 6.0 scoreless innings and earning the victory. Over his career in two starts against Pittsburgh, he has allowed zero earned runs and only six hits in 12 innings pitched. Oh, by the way, he only walked one batter and fanned 19 in those turns. All signs point to the home team here. Take the Milwaukee Brewers. Thank you.
