The Angle(s): Wednesday’s matchup at Coors Field produced 15 total runs, and I expect the ball to carry again in Thursday’s rematch. Mets right‑hander Christian Scott (0‑0, 4.26 ERA) has just 11 big‑league starts under his belt and is still finding his footing. In his two outings this season, he’s allowed three earned runs on only three hits but has issued five walks, a dangerous combo at altitude. Pitching at Coors can be tricky even for veterans, and left‑hander Jose Quintana (0‑1, 5.40 ERA at Coors this year, is now learning that first‑hand with Colorado.

With a hitter‑friendly environment, a green arm in Scott, and a vulnerable Quintana, the setup strongly favors another high‑scoring affair.

Coming off yesterday's win, I believe that the Mets are going to want to continue their three game heater on Thursday. No, the Mets haven't been good this season. But, this is a start to get back on track. Christian Scott didn't pitch at all in 2025 after being quite average in 2024 in limited starts. That being said, I think that he has the potential to do some damage in the big leagues. 

On the other hand, Colorado has lost six consecutive contests. The Rockies have not been producing enough offensively, and giving up way too many big hits here at home on this homestand. I expect that trend to continue here on Thursday evening. Hammer the Mets. 

Burns' Prediction: 7-3 Mets.

On Wednesday's Card instead of screwing around with the TOTAL on the PADRES/GIANST game we should have just been betting PADRES!  SF GIANTS rookie manager from Tennessee is being EXPOSED as not BIG LEAGUE status!  PADRES looking like they are going to SWEEP the GIANTS!

TAMPA BAY RAYS WON again for me last night and they are 11-1 last 12 games!  I have had all these games........so good for me.  Wednesday they are an EARLY game against a LOUSY TORONTO BLUE JAYS team!  I wouldn't bet against the RAYS today!
