unday Free winner: New York Yankees.

Game 977.

11:10 AM PST/2:10 PM EST.

The Yankees suffered just one losing streak thus far this regular season, about a month ago they dropped five straight contests. Well folks, so far in this series New York has been defeated in both Games 1 and 2 by Milwaukee. Their explosive offense has accounted for a combined three runs, while their stellar pitching staff has gotten plowed for a combined 10 runs. I feel New York bounces back here in a big way and gets a big victory. This is an interesting matchup as both teams are dealing with a pitching situation. For the Yankees, Carlos Rodon is scheduled to make his season debut. The left-hander has been sidelined since last October as he underwent elbow surgery. He has made three minor league rehab starts without a decision and put up an ERA of just 3.38. He was money a season ago, making 33 starts, going 18-9, with an ERA of 3.09. Over his career in five lifetime starts against Milwaukee, he is 2-1 with a 2.42 ERA. I doubt very watch the Yankees would start him here if he wasn’t ready to become a permanent part of their rotation. The Brewers right-hander is making just his third start of the campaign. He had spent time down in Triple-A Nashville, and up with the Brewers. In his two starts of the 2026 campaign, the team has lost both, as he is lasted just 2.0 and 6.0 and six innings to combine for four earned runs. The New York lineup is averaging over 5.30 runs per game but has been stifled so far in this series. I feel they will break out against this inexperienced youth. Please remember the Yankees also possess the top-ranked pitching staff in baseball. And they too, are due for a good performance. Take New York. Thank you.

MLB | Rays vs Red Sox

Play on: Red Sox -124 at Buckeye

Marc David Sports' Free Pick

We really like the home favorite in this matchup. Nick Martinez (3-1, 1.71) has been excellent for Tampa Bay, but Payton Tolle has been every bit as impressive in a small sample, posting a 2.04 ERA and 0.74 WHIP with 23 strikeouts in 17.2 innings, including 11 punchouts over six dominant frames in his 2026 debut versus a tough Yankees lineup. The Rays are a tough out, but Boston is in its preferred split at home, catching a slight market discount because of Martinez’s shiny early-season dominance, but keep mind mind that Martinez is just 1–3 with a 5.80 ERA in nine career appearances vs. the Red Sox, allowing 54 hits and 8 home runs in 35.2 innings.

RAYS on Saturday for me!  RED SOX could let down a bit after the BIG WIN last night!  Hard for a team like the RED SOX to continue to WIN against a team like the RAYS!  ROCKIES first 5 as well!  Vegas hasn't caught up to the ROCKIES!

MLB | Mets vs Rockies

Play on: Mets -140 at betonline

(#919) New York Mets | ML | .

Christian Scott (0-0 4.26 ERA) vs. Jose Quintana (1-2, 4.07 ERA) .

Coming off yesterday's win, I believe that the Mets are going to want to continue their three game heater on Thursday. No, the Mets haven't been good this season. But, this is a start to get back on track. Christian Scott didn't pitch at all in 2025 after being quite average in 2024 in limited starts. That being said, I think that he has the potential to do some damage in the big leagues.

On the other hand, Colorado has lost six consecutive contests. The Rockies have not been producing enough offensively, and giving up way too many big hits here at home on this homestand. I expect that trend to continue here on Thursday evening. Hammer the Mets.

Burns' Prediction: 7-3 Mets.

On Wednesday's Card instead of screwing around with the TOTAL on the PADRES/GIANST game we should have just been betting PADRES!  SF GIANTS rookie manager from Tennessee is being EXPOSED as not BIG LEAGUE status!  PADRES looking like they are going to SWEEP the GIANTS!
