The White Sox were crushed in the opener of this series last night. I think the starting pitching advantage swings back in their favor on Wednesday, however, and we'll back them at an underdog price. Sean Burke is one of the most underrated starters in baseball right now for Chicago. He's 7-5 with a 3.29 FIP and 1.10 WHIP and figures to fare well at Fenway Park having yielded less than one home run and three walks per nine innings this season. Burke has struck out a whopping 20 batters in just 12 innings over his last two starts. Sonny Gray will counter for Boston. Current White Sox hitters have gone a healthy 17-for-52 (.327) with an .844 OPS against the veteran right-hander. Gray enters in poor form having allowed nine earned runs on 17 hits over his last two outings, covering a span of just 12 innings. Take Chicago (8*).
