Tulsa and Wichita State finished tied for 2nd in the AAC with identical 13-5 conference records.  But Wichita State won the tiebreaker, which gave the Shockers the bye into the semifinals.  And that's going to make a massive difference today.

Tulsa needed 3 OT to put away North Texas yesterday, while Wichita State was resting and preparing.  Both Popola and Green played 51 minutes with all five starters playing at least 36 minutes for the Golden Hurricane yesterday, and I question how much they'll have left in the tank for the Shockers tonight.

Wichita State is playing its best basketball of the season to close going 8-1 SU & 7-2 ATS in its last nine games overall.  The lone loss came to USF, the top team in the AAC.  They beat Tulsa 81-77 at home during this stretch despite shooting just 2-of-14 (14.3%) from 3-point range and 17-of-27 (63%) from the FT line.

If the Shockers can beat the Golden Hurricane shooting that poorly, I like their chances of winning the rematch today with Tulsa coming off a 3 OT game.  Bet Wichita State on the Money Line Saturday.
